Voir ceci en français

This is a 20th century review of male sex work in Canada, with an emphasis on HIV and AIDS. It gathers and summarizes past and present writings on male sex work in Canada. The objective was to make a resource document available to focus health discussions about male sex work in relation to HIV and AIDS. One goal was to help the reader better understand some of the existing realities of sex work in Canada. Another was to inform the legal, ethical and policy debates on the roles and rights of sex workers in Canadian society. This report was produced by the HIV Social, Behavioural and Epidemiological Studies Unit at the University of Toronto, in cooperation with Health Canada, AIDS Vancouver, and the Sex Workers Alliance of Vancouver.
